  • Go to cybercrime.gov.in and select “Report Other Cybercrimes”.
  • Choose the category of complaint — such as Financial Fraud or Online Harassment.
  • Provide your personal details accurately (name, contact number, email, etc.).
  • Upload supporting documents (like bank statements, screenshots, or chat records).
  • Submit the complaint and note down the acknowledgment/reference number for tracking.

Documents Required for Financial Fraud Complaints

  • Bank statement of the fraudulent transaction(s).
  • Copy/screenshot of the SMS or email alert received.
  • Proof of identity (like Aadhaar, PAN, or Voter ID).
  • Any communication or screenshot of conversation with the fraudster.
  • Details of the account or wallet where the money was transferred.

Documents Required for Online Harassment Complaints

  • Screenshot(s) of abusive, threatening, or obscene content.
  • URL(s) or social media profile links involved in harassment.
  • Date, time, and platform details of each incident.
  • Any previous complaint/reference if already reported to the platform.
  • Proof of identity for verification purposes.

Important Tips

  • Never share OTPs, passwords, or card details over phone or email.
  • Report financial frauds within the first few hours for maximum recovery chances.
  • Always keep digital evidence (screenshots, chat logs) safe for investigation.
